In 1927, the year Charles Lindbergh flew across the Atlantic and Babe Ruth
hit 69 home runs, The Snug Café opened for business on Market Street in
Bluffton. It was the golden era of Hollywood, people danced the Charleston,
drove Model T Fords and Sigmund Freud pioneered psychoanalysis.
The Snug Café was a modest place where savory home cooked meals were
prepared and served to friends and neighbors. It has endured through the great depression, four wars, Neil Armstrong landing on the moon and many other major events while offering new menu items and improvements.
It is our intent at the Snug Café to maintain the solid traditions and high
quality standards of the past while offering new menu items and improvements for the future.
In November 2010 Chef Minon a local chef and Shaun Imbody owner of Heyerly's Meats in Bluffton and South Whitley stepped in and purchased the
local icon Café.
Welcome to Chef’s Minon’s Snug Café. We hope you have a very enjoyable
meal and will visit often. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome.
